makes 1 6” heart shaped peppermint bark


ingredients

  • 4 oz (113g) dark chocolate wafers

  • 4 oz (113) white chocolate wafers

  • 1/2 tsp peppermint extract, adjust to taste

  • crushed peppermint candy

  • optional - edible pearl sprinkles, flaky sea salt

  • 2 medium mixing bowls

  • small pot

  • silicone spatula

  • offset spatula

  • silicone heart mold

  • tray



steps

  1. dark chocolate layer: using a double boiler (see picture below), slowly melt 4oz (113g) dark chocolate wafers

  2. immediately pour melted dark chocolate into heart silicone mold. using a silicone spatula & offset spatula, create an even layer. tap tray on surface to remove any bubbles

  3. place tray into freezer and freeze for about 20 minutes

  4. white chocolate layer: after about 20 minutes, using a double boiler, slowly melt 4oz (113g) white chocolate wafers

  5. immediately pour melted white chocolate into heart silicone mold directly on top of dark chocolate layer. using a silicone spatula & offset spatula. tap tray on surface to remove any bubbles. immediately sprinkle your toppings

  6. place tray into freezer and freeze for about 30 minutes to 1 hour

  7. once completely set, carefully remove heart peppermint bark from silicone heart mold and break into bite sized pieces

  8. enjoy!
