strawberry shaped strawberry milk pudding 🍓
makes about 12 strawberry milk puddings
ingredients
strawberry milk pudding base
600g strawberry milk
3 tbsps (60g) condensed milk or (38g) granulated sugar
3 tbsps (45g) heavy cream
3 packets (21g) unflavored gelatin powder
neutral oil, to grease molds
tools
medium pot
whisk
container: silicone molds, shot glasses, baking dish, or mini plastic cups - greased with neutral oil
steps
make the strawberry milk pudding base: in a medium pot, combine 600g strawberry milk, 3 tbsps (60g) condensed milk or (38g) granulated sugar, & 3 tbsps (45g) heavy cream, whisk well. then add in 3 packets of unflavored gelatin powder, let the gelatin bloom for a minute or two in the pot
place small pot on medium-low heat. whisk until gelatin & condensed milk or granulated sugar dissolves completely, less than 5 minutes. do not let it boil!
pour strawberry milk pudding base into your lightly greased container (silicone molds, shot glasses, baking dish, or mini plastic cups). cover and chill for at least 3 hours or overnight
if using silicone molds, gently plop puddings out of mold and place on a plate
enjoy!
notes
this recipe can be easily divided in thirds (yields about 4 strawberry milk puddings) or doubled, depending on your needs
you can use any milk or flavored milk. adjust the amount of sweetener if you use regular milk. i haven’t tried this recipe with plant-based milks yet…
please note: i added a tad bit more gelatin just so it doesn’t break when getting out of the molds. if you prefer a more jelly like texture, add in more milk or add in less gelatin (it would be better to add in less gelatin if you’re not using a shaped mold)
