matcha strawberry cream sando.

ingredients

  • 2 slices of matcha milk bread (recipe)

  • whipped cream

    • 1/4 cup heavy cream

    • 3/4 tsp powdered sugar

    • dash of vanilla extract

  • strawberries



tools

  • whisk, hand mixer, or stand mixer

  • plastic wrap

  • rubber spatula



steps

  1. prep the strawberries: wash and pat dry strawberries

  2. make the whipped cream: combine heavy cream, powdered sugar, & vanilla exrract, and whip until medium-stiff peaks. do not overmix

  3. lay a piece of plastic wrap enough to wrap sando, then place a slice of matcha milk bread on top of the plastic wrap

  4. put a layer of whipped cream on slice of bread

  5. place strawberries on top of the cream

    • align the middle of the strawberry to the top-center of the slice of bread. the middle line is where you will cut

    • place another strawberry directly under the first one

    • place additional strawberries in the blank spaces, aligning to the strawberries in the middle

  6. put a thicker layer of cream on top of the strawberries, covering strawberries on top and on the sides

  7. place other slice of matcha milk bread on top of cream. gently but firmly wrap sando with the plastic wrap - this will hold the sando together and give it a nice shape

  8. chill wrapped sando for at least 30 minutes

  9. once chilled, cut wrapped sando down the middle. open and unwrap

    • cut with the plastic wrap on, since that will keep the cream intact

  10. enjoy!
